This must be observed for colorations and oil\/water-based lacquer combinations.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eClassic BaseOil is applied as follows: Apply \"wet on wet\" several times without polishing until the wood is saturated, i.e., until the oil is no longer absorbed quickly and the surface no longer quickly dulls. Allow to penetrate for approximately 30 minutes, then polish with a white pad, removing any excess oil without residue. Film formation must be avoided in all cases, meaning all excess must be removed. If joint exudation occurs after approx. 1 hour, polish again. After drying, a second application is possible, depending on the saturation of the wood. A significantly reduced oil absorption of the floor can be expected. When using pigmented oils, a test area is recommended. Color effect and uniformity depend on the wood, the sanding, and the application technique. By adding 10:1 of the reactive additive Classic Plus, drying inhibitions can be reduced, and hardening, resistance, and block resistance are improved. The application is particularly recommended for white and gray tones. Do not mix more than can be processed within 2 hours. Classic BaseOil mixed with Classic Plus must always be used when combination structures with the approved water sealants are chosen. Clean tools with L91 KH Thinner.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDrying at 23 °C\/50 % relative humidity and air circulation: can be walked on carefully after approx. 10-12 hours, can be recoated after 24 hours. For woods with drying-inhibiting substances, poor ventilation, lower floor temperature, different humidity, and increased film thickness, drying can be significantly delayed. This must be particularly observed before over-coating with sealant qualities, and therefore, a drying check must be performed before over-sealing. Do not mechanically or with water load, lay carpets, or maintain for 8-14 days.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eConsumption: Depending on sanding, wood type, and installation, usually 20-50 g\/m² for oak with closed joint pattern in the first application, significantly less for subsequent applications.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlease note that the combination of oil impregnation with a water sealant coating represents a technically demanding coating. The system is only functional if the oil is sufficiently dry. It is therefore important to ensure that all climatic environmental conditions are met. In particular, deviations in temperature, air exchange (air movement), oxygen supply, and humidity lead to a significantly delayed drying of the oil impregnation with Classic BaseOil. In extreme cases, this can lead to detachment of the subsequent water sealant layer.
