The planks are raw/untreated, so please note that signs of wear and "traffic patterns" are typical and do not constitute a defect in quality. To prevent this, a pigmented impregnation is recommended for color treatment.
Treatment with acetic anhydride makes Accoya particularly durable, resistant, and hard. This process significantly reduces the wood's ability to absorb water. The wood has higher dimensional stability and becomes extremely durable. Accoya is durable for at least 50 years without ground contact and at least 25 years in contact with soil and/or fresh water. It thus achieves the best possible durability class. Accoya is ecologically harmless - 100% recyclable and renewable.
