Berger-Seidle Classic BaseOil – colorless parquet oil

Classic BaseOil is a solvent-free, colourless deep impregnation for parquet and wooden floors, based on natural, renewable raw materials. The high-quality oil penetrates deep into the wood, accentuates the natural structure and ensures an open-pored, hard-wearing surface.

The system oil can be combined with other Berger-Seidle oil, oil/wax systems and approved water-based lacquers.

Application

The surface must be clean, dry and finely sanded.

Classic BaseOil is applied in several coats with a spatula until the wood is fully saturated. After a penetration time of approx. 30–60 minutes, excess oil must be completely buffed off with a single-disc machine and a soft pad.

For combination systems with water-based lacquers, the addition of Classic Plus is required.

Drying

Under ideal conditions (23 °C / 50 % humidity):

• Drying time approx. 24 hours

Low temperatures, high humidity or poor ventilation can prolong drying.

The surface should only be fully subjected to traffic or maintained after approx. 8–14 days.
